Dr. Shane
If I understand the situation correctly, what started the mass exodus from AARP was President Obama's claim that the AARP supported his plan. They had not stated their position at the time. Then we had a mass exodus of about 60,000 members. Now AARP has come out with their position which is a moderate position and not supportive of the much-talked-about House version. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Hopefully Obama will keep up with his misinformation, half truths, and name calling. His demonizing of all that oppose him shows more about Obama than anyone else. His crack about those the are we we'd up was especially nice coming from the president. In light of the fact he can not explain,he cannot address what is actually in this bill, the only thing left is to tell his opposition to shut up. Amazing that all are to bow to the superior knowledge of this president and he knows less about what is written in that monstrosity than the senior citizens. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.
