Members phkrause
I agree dgrimm, nothing will be done, not because something can be done, but because neither party will do anything about it. As long as they get there 100 grand paychecks a year why fix it? I personally have said we should get rid of the Fed a long time ago. pk Quote phkrause Obstinacy is a barrier to all improvement. - ChL
Ted Oplinger
Agreed, pkrause. Ron Paul makes some excellent conservative points on the Fed, but he is largely ignored by the Republican establishment. Where Ron departs from reality is on his isolationist stance. It was proven we cannot leave the rest of the world to its own designs with the WW1 and WW2 events. After WW2, America has had no choice but to accept its role in the leadership of the world. Perhaps it can be refined better, but our presence beyond our borders is there to stay, for good or not - something Ron doesn't seem to get. Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J.
