TreeOfLife
A Bonus Question for Ye All Family relationships among the disciples: A. One set of brothers B. One father and son C. Two sets of brothers …HOW ABOUT THE LETTER C dgrimm60 Gail: Got it! Good work, dg, and quick, too! Yes Gail, I agree with you on this one too. Yet… In a way there is more to it than is generally recognized! There is a father and a son among the disciples surrounding Jesus! Do you know whom I am talking about? God allowed me to find this in the Bible one day and I’ve never heard of anyone else mentioning it. Do you have any idea? Any one? BTW, today is the last Sabbath of the Scriptural year as reckoned both in Old and New Testament times, and as reckoned also by Josephus! Did you know that? The next scriptural year begins at sunset Sunday night. That is, at the beginning of the 22nd day of the seventh Moon of the Scriptural calendar, i.e. of the last, or Sabbath Moon, thus ‘completing’ the year. That is, the next Scriptural year begins on the special Feast Day also recognized by the name the Eighth Day… Signifying something new! Shabbat Shalom – a special Day for Remembering…! Members rudywoofs (Pam)
But it doesn't specify that this specific father "James" was one of the disciples. James was a common name, and this could be referring to some other "James"... After all, there were two James' already who were named as disciples here in the text. But it could be one of them, I suppose. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.
