Moderators John317 Posted November 11, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2009 He deserved it, clearly. I hope he repented and cast himself at the foot of the cross. May God have mercy on him. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Moderators John317 Posted November 11, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2009 This belongs in the obits forum. Where is a good moderator when you need one. I'm right here watching you and the threads. Shane can decide this but as far as I'm concerned this is not an obituary as such but a news item about the death of a dangerous criminal. Every mention of the death of someone doesn't qualify as an obituary. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Moderators John317 Posted November 11, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2009 The foot of Muhammad's cross? Naw-- wouldn't work, I don't think. Muhammad said that anyone who says that Allah has a Son is lying. And he also said that Christ never died on the cross for anyone's sins. In fact, Mohammed said Christ never died on the cross at all. I hope someone gave him a Bible and Steps To Christ and that he read them and gave them serious thought. But it seems to me that if he had, he would have showed some change in his attitude, and as far as I know from news reports, he never did. It's interesting, though, that his accomplice, Malvo, the 17 year old boy, used to attend an SDA school and at one time appeared to be a member of the church. I wonder if they ever talked about that. Makes you wonder what kind of experience Malvo had as a kid. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Moderators John317 Posted November 11, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2009 Yes, he converted to Islam some time back. Not exactly sure when. But he claimed to be Muslim before the shootings. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Moderators John317 Posted November 11, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2009 JOHN317 so according to the Muslim Christ did not die on a cross dgrimm60 That is right. The Koran says that Christ didn't die but only appeared to die. It says that it was someone who looked like Christ. The Koran actually teaches that at some time in the future, Christ will die and be resurrected. Muslims also anticipate Christ's return but not in the same way that the Bible describes. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
