Driven to disguise

David Jeffers

The University of Minnesota's motto is "Driven to Discover." With its latest teaching plan it should be revised to "Driven to Disguise." In what is without doubt a blow to academic freedom, a program is being introduced that effectively screens its teachers for political and ideological beliefs.

Bob Unruh of World Net Daily writes:

Among the issues discussed in the plans are requirements that teachers would be able to instruct students on the "myth of meritocracy" in the United States, "the history of demands for assimilation to white, middle-class, Christian meanings and values," and the "history of white racism."

Perhaps the University of Minnesota should not accept any federal dollars from a government so inherently evil, although with the current administration the university will probably be awarded a federal grant for such a program.

For parents with high school seniors, deciding on a college can be a very difficult process.

Regrettably, the University of Minnesota has eliminated itself from all America-loving household's lists.

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

You mean the Minnesota Vikings are tied into this effort of "educating" our kids???

Who would have thought....... !

"As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17

"The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings

"Courage is being scared to death - and saddling up anyway" - John Wayne

"The person who pays an ounce of principle for a pound of popularity gets badly cheated" - Ronald Reagan

Yes, they have Brett Favre now, and I think he was educated as a kid.
