Administrators Gail Posted February 11, 2005 Administrators Share Posted February 11, 2005 The Bible says that God blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it (made it holy) What evidence do you have of this in your experience? What is there about the Sabbath that shows YOU that it is blessed and holy? I'd like to read of examples of Sabbath blessings that you have witnessed Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Nicodema
You can FEEL Sabbath in the air when you are connected with God in the Holy Spirit. There's just something different about that 24 hour period. Various magickal traditions make use of the convention of "casting a circle" or some other demarcation of space-time for performing ritual within. The idea is that a boundary is set "between the worlds" where the mundane space-time realm does not enter, and everything inside the boundary is sacred, is outside of normal "linear" space-time. Well God already has set a boundary in space-time where the sacred can be entered and felt, and it is the Sabbath day that He originally ordained, consecrated and hallowed. But as Hebrews 4 alludes, there is only one way to enter into that rest and it is to enter first into the rest of a total relationship with Jesus Christ and a total dependence on Him. As we immerse ourselves in Him and in the Holy Spirit, our sensitivity to the sacred is increased and we feel the blessing of Sabbath like a sweet and pervasive pleasing aroma, like incense, bringing refreshment and replenishing in its draught.
