Last night Chris Matthews pronounced that listening to the SOTU address he forgot Obama was black for an hour. What in the world does that mean? Is it supposed to be flattering to Obama? Why? Who would suppose that any SOTU address would be a racial appeal? Thomas Lifson adds: So normally Chris is preocccuppied with Obama's father's race? You really have to wonder about people like Matthews. Don't know about him but most are not preoccupied with his race but what he is doing to this country. Had a conservative said that they would be run out on a rail. He was as good as any white guy,made you forget he was black. Yeah,Apparantly Chris Matthews is VERY conscious of Obama's "blackness" every other moment of his life, except for that one hour. No racism there,right!Besides, who says Obama is black? His mother is white!! Isn't the belief that, if someone has one drop of "black blood" they are black a continuum of the plantation mentality??No doubt MLK would be proud?
