Woody
Sorry. I couldn't seem to copy a link that would work so will copy and paste the content: Today was just another bland press briefing until Press Secretary Robert Gibbs displayed some crib notes written on his hand. The notes were clearly a jab at Sarah Palin after cameras exposed Palin having a "cheat sheet" on her hand after her speech at the Tea Party Convention. Palin would later consult the now infamous "telepalmter" to answer a pre-screened question at the convention. Gibbs' hand had the words "eggs, milk, bread" written on it. When reporters lauged upon seeing it Gibbs stated he also had the words "hope" and "change" written down. In her speech at the Tea Party Convention Palin mocked Obama voters when she asked them "How's that hopey changey thing workin for ya?" Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody
REDWOOD I Don't this it is appropriate for any press secretary of any preident to mock any private citizen---- with that said I am sure that each party has done it dgrimm60 Well. Some presidents may have done it to people who hold political office or who are running for office. But Sarah is none of those. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody
WEll ... I see that twice as many people in the poll believe that it is inappropriate for Obama's Press Secretary to Mock a private citizen (Palin). I think I agree with those polled. Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted February 12, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2010 That's not the way I read the poll. It's 50/50 now. And besides, Palin is not a "private citizen." She's made herself a public figure, thus becoming fair game for anybody to talk about her. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional.... Woody
She does not have any public office ... nor is she running for any public office. And so... I don't see how one could call her anything but a private citizen. And hey ... who's been padding the poll to make it skewed? lol I liked it better the way it was. Now I can't toot my horn. Members phkrause
PKRAUSE WELL that is interesting about the leave of absence dgrimm60 I think that it has to do with that thread that I started about our heroes in the military. She must've defended that a little to strongly. I do hope she is doing OK. Not sure how long she'll be away. pk Quote phkrause Obstinacy is a barrier to all improvement. - ChL
