I think that's 500 BILLION, Woody. ObamaCare is planning to markedly curtail healthcare money spent on the elderly. It is very pragmatic. Their lives are almost over. Don't spend money on them. Thanks to Justice Scalia and his ilk, we cannot know. I suspect it has been Happy Times for the lobbyists who are raking in the money. We do not know how much, or by whom, the money was provided to the lobbyists. It is surely in the billions of dollars. Why are the apparent donors, mostly big insurance companies, so interested in blocking the bill? Could it be that they stand to make even bigger profits if this bill fails? Naw. They would not do that. They have the interests of ordinary citizens in mind, not the fat CEOs. Sure! And the moon is made of green cheese. Obama does not know,but says it is only a beginning. Beginning of what? Pelosi says it has to be voted on and passed before we will find out what is in the bill. Later it will be added back and more taxes added to pay for it. It is the theory that a little pain added slowly is less objectionable than a whole lot of pain and taxes all at once.
