Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted March 19, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2010 Dottie (Dorothy) Hofmann, 82, died on March 19, 2010, at the home of her daughter Judy Hofmann in California. She had raised seven children, all of whom are in the SDA church. She was an elementary school teacher in Southern California for many years, and a loving friend to many. Members phkrause
Thank you for the info Jeannie pk Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Stan
JeannieB I would suspect she was a friend of yours, perhaps close, as you were both teachers in that area. Sorry for your loss. Death is such a shame. Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted April 19, 2010 Author Moderators Share Posted April 19, 2010 I went to her funeral yesterday. It was not sad, but rather a joyous review of her wonderful life. At the end there was such a reunion of old friends who had come from far and near to honor her. I think it was a little bit like the way heaven will be -- seeing so many old friends whom we have loved long ago. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
