Syria is giving the terrorist group Hezb'allah Scud missiles according to both US and Israeli officials.

Isn't it great that our rapproachment with Syria is bearing fruit so quickly?

Syria has transferred long-range Scud missiles to the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah, Israeli and U.S. officials alleged, in a move that threatens to alter the Middle East's military balance and sets back a major diplomatic outreach effort to Damascus by the Obama administration.

Israeli President Shimon Peres on Tuesday publicly charged President Bashar Assad's government with transferring Scud missiles to Hezbollah's forces inside Lebanon. Syria and Hezbollah both denied the charges. But the allegations already are affecting U.S. foreign policy: Republicans pressed on Capitol Hill to block the appointment of a new American ambassador to Damascus, according to congressional officials.

The White House said it was pressing ahead.

The Scuds are believed to have a range of more than 435 miles-placing Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Israel's nuclear installations all within range of Hezbollah's military forces. During a monthlong war with Israel in 2006, Hezbollah used rockets with ranges of 20 to 60 miles.

Israeli officials called Scud missiles "game-changing" armaments that mark a new escalation in the Mideast conflict. They alleged that Mr. Assad is increasingly linking Syria's military command with those of Hezbollah and Iran. Officials briefed on the intelligence said Israeli and American officials believe Syria transferred Scud missiles built with either North Korean or Russian technology.

Whatever it is you guys in the White House are doing, keep at it. Glad to see you won't be sidetracked by this little glitch in our relations with Baby Assad. I knew you were made of sterner stuff than that.

By the way, maybe you should donate a couple of thousand baby coffins to the Israelis. Once the casualties start to mount in the next war you are encouraging with your blind disregard for reality, they're going to need them.

Maybe they should try loving their enemies.

Nah. That's less politically correct, I guess.

Israel may not be ready to be wiped off the face of the earth..

No,politcally correct is loving ones enemies as they wipe out Israel.

Keeping an ambassador in Syria is a smart move. Israel completely messed up the war in 2006 and now they are reaping the consequences of that.

Do you always ask misleading questions? I said nothing about wiping Syria off the map. But along that train of thought why should Israel stand passively by as their network of enemies grow stronger and stronger?

Loving their enemies and peace and harmony reign is not quite how the world works.

Whatever was God thinking when Samson was given power by God to destroy his enemies?Maybe that was just a big bear hug that brought the place tumbling down.

Either David gave Goliath a little love tap upside the head or he to was operating with the power of God. Granted the ability to stop the giant
