Stan
Often it refers to Mexico, but if you are in the Netherlands it is a celebration of the day that the Canadian Troops liberated Holland from the Nazi's. They Celebrate this every year, but the number of the Canadian Soldiers they bring over are getting smaller and smaller. Dr. Shane
May 5 is a day that the Mexican Army defeated the French Army. The French had been supporting the Confederate States in the American Civil War. The defeat by the Mexicans lead to the French withdrawing their support from the Confederacy. Many historians believe it was crucial in the North's victory over the South. Feliz Cinco de Mayo.
