Amelia
Vac can order its own spare parts Ananova.com 23 Feb,2005 James Dyson has invented a vacuum cleaner that can order its own spare parts. The cleaner alerts the user if it has broken down or needs a replacement part. The owner then dials the number of the Dyson call centre and holds the telephone receiver to the vacuum cleaner. The machine transmits a message telling engineers what's wrong and orders any new part it needs. Its computer chip even lets them know when it was bought and for how long it has been in use. The vacuum is already on sale in Japan reports The Sun. Dyson has made £800 million from inventing the first no bag vacuum cleaner. He said the new cleaner was devised to save owners the hassle of finding their model details and serial number. He said: "The machine does it all for you by sending a binary message. So you never have this awful business of quoting the model number. It's doing very well. There aren't many people selling electrical goods to Japan!" [:"blue"]* I just love this vacuum cleaner. I test drove one at Sears and would love to have one. It's the cost that I cant get past.LOL $500 for a vacuum, OUCH [/] Quote <p><span style="color:#0000FF;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-style:italic;">"Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you."</span></span> Eph 4:29</span><br><br><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetemp_both/US/OR/Fairview.gif" alt="Fairview.gif"> Fairview Or</p>
CWhetmore
Too funny! Wait'll someone offers to sell you a Rainbow vacuum. You'll love their demonstration of how it removes more dirt than your vacuum did. You'll be fascinated by how the dirt is filtered into water, rather than going into paper filter or a filterless cannister. You'll crave the dust-free air that will be produced by a Rainbow. Then you'll discover the price...$1300 to $2100! Rainbow Another Rainbow
GreatLakesGramma
I had a Rainbow. I didn't like it. It was a pain having to take it outside to empty it when I finished vacuuming. If I was too busy to empty it as soon as I finished, or if the weather was too bad, and I forgot to empty it later that day, the filth in the water got moldy. That was worse than dust left by a conventional vacuum. I like my central vacuum much better. All the fine dust goes outside through the vent, and I only have to empty it once a year. Besides that, the motor is in the basement, so the noise it makes is muffled. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26.
