Administrators Gail Posted September 24, 2010 Administrators Posted September 24, 2010 And/or under what circumstances? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Dottie Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 I remember that, as a little child, I would go to sleep with my hand up, resting against the headboard, so that I could hold Jesus' hand as I went to sleep. He was real then, and still is. Quote
Moderators Gerr Posted September 24, 2010 Moderators Posted September 24, 2010 And/or under what circumstances? Perhaps when I had my first prayer answered. I think it was during week of prayer in my second year at an SDA boarding school. The speaker challenged us to set aside a time to talk to God and told us to ask Him to wake us up. I asked God to wake me up at 12 midnight so I could talk to Him. At 12 sharp, I was awakened from a deep sleep. Quote
Members phkrause Posted September 25, 2010 Members Posted September 25, 2010 Not sure Gail when exactly, but I do believe he has always been real to me. Its when I reflect back on my life that I see him being there all the time. Its like that marriage vow where we say to each other "in good times and in bad", that's what I see when I reflect back, that I see with Jesus. He has always been there. teresaq Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 i dont know about Jesus, but i remember when God became real to me. it was back in my early 20s when i was reading the prophecy section of bible readings for the home. i think it was when i saw that God had a reason for everything He did in the ot---it wasnt just arbitrary instructions but had a definite purpose. up to that point He had just been some vague vaporous word. i also remember when satan became more than just a word also, but under vastly different circumstances.
