Members rudywoofs (Pam)
This is pretty amazing! I was surprised how this worked. Be honest and don't look at the movie list till you have done the math! Try this test and find out what movie is your favorite. This amazing math quiz can likely predict which of 18 films you would enjoy the most. Don't ask me how, but it really works! Movie Test: Pick a number from 1-9. Multiply by 3. Add 3. Multiply by 3 again. Now add the two digits together to find your predicted favorite movie in the list of 18 movies below. Movie List: 1. Gone With The Wind 2. E.T. 3. Beverly Hills Cop 4. Star Wars 5. Forrest Gump 6. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly 7. Jaws 8. Grease 9. The Defeat of Obama in 2012 10. Casablanca 11. Jurassic Park 12. Shrek 13. Pirates of the Caribbean 14. Titanic 15. Raiders Of The Lost Ark 16. Home Alone 17. Gladiator 18. Toy Story Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others? Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted November 10, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2010 It doesn't work. There's only one movie on the list which I would NOT prefer to watch, and that's the one this game predicted would be my favorite. Moderators Bravus Posted November 10, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2010 If you did the math right, everyone should have got number 9 as their favourite. Conclusion: this works a lot better on an all-conservative site! Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted November 10, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2010 ...and I'm a little surprised at Alex... the kindest interpretation is that he's not great at math! Quote Truth is important
Members abelisle
I guess that's what happens when you do math in your head while doing two other things at the same time Alex Quote We are our worst enemy - sad but true. http://abelisle.blogspot.com
Members phkrause
If you did the math right, everyone should have got number 9 as their favourite. Conclusion: this works a lot better on an all-conservative site! That's exactly what I came up with. Must be some root number or something, anyway looks like its a joke. My favorite movie wasn't even on the list. Quote phkrause Obstinacy is a barrier to all improvement. - ChL
Moderators John317 Posted November 11, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2010 Doesn't come close for me. It said my favorite movie was the one about Obama (9), and I couldn't stand that movie. My favorite movies on the list are 1, 5, 6, 7, 10. If I had to pick only one movie, it would be 1, never 9 in a million years. Hey, wait just a minute-- yeah, I just thought of something; number 9 is the very movie I would love to see made. lol So yea, it works great for me after all. Members rudywoofs (Pam)
LOL - I just thought it was funny, and put it up for people to see. It was actually a Canadian who forwarded it to me. I've only seen #'s 1, 5, and 10. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Moderators John317 Posted November 11, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2010 Yeah, I think you could watch 1, 5 and 10 and maybe a couple of others many times and still enjoy them, but the rest seem to be one-timers. Dr. Shane
My calculator is goofy. I did it on the calculator and got 33 which would be #6 (3+3=6) but when I do it on paper I get 81 which is #9. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane
There was something tricky with it because I did it multiple times on that calculator to make sure I wasn't messing it up and kept getting the same wrong answer. Maybe I needed to use brackets or something that I wasn't doing. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators Bravus Posted November 11, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2010 If you number is X you need (3x+3)*3, but if you enter it in order you might get 3x + (3*3) Hmm, that gives me an idea... Moderators Bravus Posted November 11, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2010 4, 12 and 13 are the rewatchables in that list for me Quote Truth is important
GreatLakesGramma
I didn't think my favorites would be on any list for something like that, and I was right.
