Woody
I hope this discussion can remain civil. But I would like to open up your mind. Can not a true prophet of God give us much good ... but then "run amuck" and go to far and give us more information than was truly given by God. Some of it may actually be good. But that does not mean it was all given by God. Do you follow? Just wondering if this is "possible". Not that it actually happened. This is just a wild thought. Would you still consider the good given to us by God through this prophet? Or would you reject the prophet because not ALL of what the prophet said was true? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

I don't think so. run / go amuck, a. to rush about in a murderous frenzy: The maniac ran amuck in the crowd, shooting at random. b. to rush about wildly; lose self-control: When the nightclub caught fire the patrons ran amuck, blocking the exits. Symbolism Gerry. There's lot's of it in the Bible. And Gerry. You're a friend of Shane's who doesn't accept dictionary definitions. So why be U using the dictionary? There are examples of prophets in the Bible that were true until they ran amuck. Then they became false prophets (Baalam and the prophet of Bethel) Quote His child Henry Bible student/Author https://www.loudcry101.com
Moderators Gerr Posted March 14, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 14, 2011 Where did I ever reject a dictionary definition of a word? You are confusing with your friend who had his own definitions for certain words.

Moderators John317 Posted March 14, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 14, 2011 Did Balaam's donkey ever run amuck? No, because that donkey had too much horse sense-- I mean donkey sense. He may have been an ass but he was a smart one. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
