Dr. Shane Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 When Bush first became President he told his staffers that he was not concerned about his legacy. This seems to be consistent with that. Bush did one of the worst jobs defending his policies and I think part of that was that he just did what he believed was right and wasn't concerned about what anyone other than God thought about it. I don't think he feels that he really needs to receive any credit for the part he played in finding Osama. The other part is that Obama showing up at Ground Zero, is in part, part of his campaign for 2012. Why would Bush want to make an appearance on the Obama campaign trail?
