SDA don't celebrate Christmas, Easter, OR APRIL FOOL'S DAY.

You are supposed to ignore this heathen event, with its origins in the occult.

Bevin, please elaborate.

Where DID April Fool's Day originate?

[is it something like Halloween? (All Hallows' Eve?)]

Bevin,

I remember last sabbath..which was the day before Easter...and attended 2 SDA churches...

During the communion segment of the 2nd church..the first didn't have communion that week...

there was the time where the pastor allowed for praise and thank time from the audience...

I was visiting that church but volunteered to make a comment..

I mentioned that I was thrilled that the church bulletin had

"He is risen" on the front and that they didn't just blow off the Easter event.

I also mentioned that I was thrilled that the pastor did a competent bible study on a resurrection passage...even though there was communion that sabbath.

Some pastors give cheapo..NFDMTTS sermonettes on communion sabbath...and some churches... during Easter..do plays and tons of music and squash out the preaching of the WORD..

A lady church member thanked me for my comments after the worship service..

Satan, the system of the world is opposed to God's will and plan....yet the exclusive, timid, paranoia, pathetic pseudo anti paganism mentality...is nonsense.

glad you posted that reply for me to continue

Where DID April Fool's Day originate?

I haven't the faintest idea - I'll throw the question at google...

http://www.infoplease.com/spot/aprilfools1.html

"April Fool's Day or All Fool's Day,holiday of uncertain origin, known for practical joking and celebrated on the first of April. Prior to the adoption of the Gregorian calendar in 1564, the date was observed as New Year's Day by cultures as varied as the Roman and the Hindu. The holiday is considered to be related to the festival of the vernal equinox, which occurs on Mar. 21. The English gave April Fool's Day its first widespread celebration during the 18th cent."

I believe that Satan is not above sabotaging human language and custom with references that to the initiated mock Jesus. I would not be surprised if Christ were actually crucified on April 1, if the modern calendar were projected back to 31 A.D, and Satan has arranged for the day to be commemorated as "April Fool's Day." And perhaps Christ was born on October 31, which Satan has arranged to be commemorated by kids dressing up as goblins and witches and going trick or treating. We do not know the exact dates for Christ's birth or crucifixion, but Satan does. This is just a speculation of mine.
