"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, we offer a teaspoon, a teacup, and a bucket to the patient and ask the patient to empty the bathtub." Okay, here's your test: (Those with an abnormal tendency will scroll to the bottom to get the answer before taking this test) 1. Would you use the spoon? or 2. Would you use the teacup? or 3. Would you use the bucket? SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE NORMAL ANSWER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would choose the bucket as it is larger than the spoon." . . . . . . . . . KEEP SCROLLING DOWN . . . . . . . . "Noooooo," answered the Director. "A normal person would pull the plug." (You are not required to tell anyone how you did on this test. Please don't share your answer . . . but, now you know.) It was easier to handle than a bucket, and faster than a spoon....and the plug never came into mind.... Move over Amelia, I am coming too. At least it's 3 square aday and a place to sleep... Moderators Nan Posted April 4, 2005 Moderators Share Posted April 4, 2005 There is a lot of publicity in this country at the moment about the case of a lady who is a native German speaker but an Australian permanent resident. She has a major psychiatric problem and gave a false name, and was confined to an Immigration Detention Centre for illegal immigrants. It took the inmates of the centre to tell the officers that she was having severe mental problems before she was eventually given appropriate help, several months later. Maybe all those officers need this test too.....
