Morey, 92, of Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility in Gerry, passed away at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, in the facility. Mr. Morey was born Jan. 14, 1919, in Conewango Valley. He attended a one-room schoolhouse on Pope Road and grew up on a dairy farm on Keith Road in Conewango Valley. Bob was a self-employed logger and was a member of the Randolph Seventh Day Adventist Church. Bob is survived by his caretaker and niece Marie Seager and her husband Bill of Conewango Valley. At Mr. Morey's request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be private for the family in the Rutledge Cemetery, Conewango Valley. Arrangements are entrusted to the Van Rensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St. in Randolph. Visitation and funeral services will not be observed.
