DEXTER, N.Y. — Laura J. Pettey, 50, died Saturday, Aug. 27, in Watertown.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at the Natural Bridge 7th Day Adventist Church, 43735 Route 3, Natural Bridge.

She was born Nov. 9, 1960, the daughter of Earl and Lillian Coffie Pettey in Watertown.

She was employed as a delivery driver for Gray’s Flower Shop in Watertown.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time at the beach and being with friends and family.

Surviving are her mother, Lillian Pettey, Natural Bridge; a daughter, Jennifer M., and her husband, Elliotte J. Clark, LaFargeville; several brothers and sisters; Charles Pettey, Watertown; Josephine Pettey, Natural Bridge, Elma Johannessen, Nebraska, Earl Pettey, Dexter, and Lester Pettey, Evans Mills; several nieces and nephews; and a very close friend, Jane Neely, Carthage.

Her father, Earl Pettey and a sister, Lena Platt, died before her.

Arrangements are being handled by Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home, 500 State St., Carthage.
