nuff sed
If a person was thrown out of the church "(with good reason) thirty years ago and wishes to return does he/she have to be re-baptised or is Profession of Faith sufficient? Administrators Gail Posted September 9, 2011 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2011 Nuff (I hope that we are on good enough terms that I can all you that ) Why not ask her/him? I know that when my husband fell out of the church he felt that he wanted to make a clean slate and it seemed right to him just to rededicate himself totally. Moderators John317 Posted September 9, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 9, 2011 Rebaptism is appropriate when people have been openly separated from the church and living apart from Christ. According to Ellen White, people who've been baptized by immersion shouldn't be pressured to be rebaptized. But neither should they be discouraged from being rebapitized if they believe the Holy Spirit is leading them to do that. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
