Those crazy Canucks. Abandoned vehicle, 1:01 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle reported near South Bank apparently found its way home. Barking dog, 3:24 a.m.: Dodge Avenue wasn't big enough for residents and a barking dog. The Curry County sheriff's office was called. Tree down, 5:54 a.m.: A tree was found mortally wounded on Carpenterville Road. Accident, 11:27 p.m.: An accident near the Elks Lodge was reported. No elks were injured. Found property, 7:37 a.m.: A good Samaritan turned in a roaming cell phone to the police station. It gives a new definition to lost minutes. Driving complaint, 9:42 p.m.: A report of a budding NASCAR driver southbound near Meyers Creek Road. Panhandling, 10:48 a.m.: A 47-year-old man was told handling pans is against city ordinance Intoxicated subject, 4:54 p.m.: Police checked into a report of an intoxicated individual near the Bonn Motel. Intoxicated subject, 5:12 p.m.: Same report, different motel. This time it was the Spindrift. Intoxicated subject, 6:24 p.m.: The guy gets around. This time the individual was reported on Chetco Avenue near Ransom Avenue. Tree down, 8:05 a.m.: A tree woke up on the wrong side of North Bank Chetco River Road. Animal cruelty, 11:12 a.m.: An officer checked on a report of doggy cruelty on Zia Court. A neighbor thought it was tied up in the middle of a backyard pond. The officer found out the dog preferred to stand in the puddle. Prowler, 9:47 p.m.: A deputy contacted a man who actually saw a prowler on Dodge Avenue. It was the first time somebody reported actually seeing the offender in weeks. Fight, 7:34 p.m.: Three people were involved in a fight at a Hillside Avenue location. They were all sent to neutral corners to count to 10.
