Members abelisle
http://www.adventistsinstepforlife.com/article.php?id=95 Sunday, Sept. 25 - what kind of moving do you plan to do? I've already "moved" at 2.5 million mph (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/114294776) Wonder if I can go faster? Members phkrause
Will probably doing the 5 mile walk the church is doing. Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Moderators Gerr Posted September 19, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 19, 2011 I've been moving for several months now - walking and sometimes jogging for 1 hour 6/7 days.
Members abelisle
Here's the link for the Activity Log http://www.adventistsinstepforlife.org/site/1/docs/Physical_Activity_Log.pdf I ran 5 miles today. There's all sorts of activities that involve "moving." This is one of the better ideas the NAD has thought of. Why have health reform if hardly anyone takes it seriously? Seems like the pastors in my conference aren't really pushing this? That's a shame. We were created to "move". Let's show people that we practice what we preach! Members abelisle
- bump - Since today is the day for this event, I think I'll keep bumping it up Lots of debaters here, some quite argumentative but are we taking care of our bodies not just our minds? Overaged
My line of work I get so much "movement" that I don't go to the gym anymore, but I could likely stand a bit of cardio...This is a great idea for the Church to be involved in. Members abelisle
bump Guess most people on this forum either don't exercise or care to? Oh well, we all have to decide what's best for us - last "bump" for the day. So much for "Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?" Outta Here
Guess most people on this forum either don't exercise or care to? Or... they're out exercising and will brag about it when they get back. Or... they don't exercise and tell. Or... they don't care to share. Or... they're busy doing other things and don't have time to tell you. Who knows???
Overaged
Good thought Alex, but I did my part today. Walked with the church group today. I chased my dog down several alleys today when he broke loose from his leash. That should count for something! LOL, and I might add; I was faster than the dog. Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted September 26, 2011 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2011 My son and I tramped around the National Gallery of Art, back and forth between the West and East Buildings, up and down stairs for several hours today looking for specific pieces of art for his Humanities class. That was quite a bit of walking. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
