Administrators Gail Posted November 1, 2011 Administrators Share Posted November 1, 2011 By beholding we become changed- see 2 Cor.3:18. There is a culture that you are born into, that you don't have a lot of control over. You can't choose your birth family, religion, language or country. The Bible says that God takes that into account when reviewing your life- Psalm 87:4,6 But how long does our "borned-into" shape our actions? By our choices we form for ourselves a new culture, one that is tailor-made to suit us. We do that by beholding. We will be influenced by what we read, who we highly regard, what we see. At what point do we become fully responsible persons? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Members phkrause
I've always heard its when we become adults. I suppose in each culture that might be a different age. Like for Jews its 13. For me I think that's a little early but back in Bible times this might be right. At some point the decisions we make become ours to bare? Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
