Moderators Bravus Posted December 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 2, 2011 Nice: gotta have a handle! I think this thread could have a few categories: Deep-and-meaningful: world peace Realistic: 'REAMDE', the new(ish) Neal Stephenson novel I haven't read yet Dream-wise: Similar vein to Empty Cross, but a Gibson Les Paul and a Marshall stack... rockin' out old school. As it is, I'll be with my beloved family, staying near a beach in Australia... absolutely nothing to complain about! GreatLakesGramma
I had a really hard time making a list to send to my kids. I don't have a lot of money to spend on things I want but don't need, so I seldom think about such things. But I did eventually manage to think of a few things. I put a Kindle on my list, even though I prefer actual books, because my bookcases are full, and I don't want to part with any more of the ones I have left after donating over 200 to the library a couple of years ago. There is no room in my house for more bookcases either. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. GreatLakesGramma
I would say "I want my broken right wrist healed by Christmas," but that would take a major miracle, considering how badly it was broken. GreatLakesGramma
My feet became tangled in some brush along the side of the road while I was out taking a walk. Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}

Overaged
I consider "Santa" to be a fat, perverted glutton who let me down a lot when I was a kid. I don't actually believe in asking him for anything. I give to as many people as I can this time of year. Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..."
