Gordon1
It doesn't seem possible, but hundreds of thousands of Canadian federal employees will be getting severance packages, as well as pay raises over the next three years. Payouts range from $20K to $150K. Until now these severance payments were made even to those who quit or retired. (In addition, federal civil servants receive healthy, indexed pensions.) Members phkrause
Reminds me of the US, and every other country, no different. As per usual, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I remember when first moving up to Mass, they had a computer company, called Wang. They were doing pretty good. Upper management kept giving itself bonses, (sp), while laying off its work force. Eventually they had mostly upper management people doing the work, and guess what? They went out of business. We had lost of companies in Mass that followed suit. The World as we know it is been going downhill for many, many yearsSo nothing surprising about this at all.
