Administrators Gail Posted June 26, 2005 Author Administrators Share Posted June 26, 2005 Because of his G6PD, I'm not sure that tonic water is good for him... I have to wait for an update- apparently people who are G6PD deficient (as Kev is) don't get malaria as badly as others. The malaria parasite can't survive without that enzyme and soon die off Hopefully that will mean that he might not be sick as long as people with healthy blood. We'll see The good thing about it is that this deficiency is common in African/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern countries, so the doctors will know what to prescribe him. Typical anti-malarial medications could kill him I'm sure that most people over there end up with malaria sooner or later. His workmates recognized the symptoms right away. It's just that he wasn't feeling very well at all Moms just worry... Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Administrators Gail Posted June 27, 2005 Author Administrators Share Posted June 27, 2005 Well, the weekend is over and Kevin says he is beginning to feel a bit better. The people he works with know a good American doctor who prescribed something for him That makes ME feel better as well! PTL Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
