Moderators LynnDel Posted July 8, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 8, 2005 Let's see. . . "I can eat more dirt than you can." Sewing the tips of our fingers together with needle and thread (through the skin). Seeing whose hand could get bluest, coldest, and bulgiest by cutting off the circulation (during long church meetings). Having an onion-cutting contest (raid the garden for onions first). First kid who can't keep his or her eyes open is the loser. "Operating" on all kinds of insects, reptiles, amphibians and rodents, to see how they were made. (Nowadays they would keep an eye on me, in case I turned out to be a sociopath.) Icing the driveway in preparation for fun winter sliding, but forgetting to notify the postman. Making "cigarettes" with a roll of paper around a piece of dry ice and pretending to smoke it. Making medicine for our kid-sized "hospital" by putting fruit juice in little brown bottles and setting them in a row on a sunny window sill. In a few days that stuff was rank enough to taste suitably medicinal. Pretty innocent - but not exactly smart. And Amelia, you are funny. Subtle, but funny. Quote LD

Moderators Nan Posted July 8, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 8, 2005 I dont recall doing anything warranting attention - I was probably a very boring child . But Gail if you are having that party can I come and set out to make myself laugh until I cannot stop ? I do remember trying that once and frustrating my mother considerably, it really is possible to engender mirth

Dr. Shane
For our friends from Canada and Austraila that don't know, "the fifth" doesn't refer to a bottle of booze. It refers to an Ammmendment in our Constitution which gives us the right not to incriminate ourselves. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Got married (Grins, ducks, runs for cover) But seriously... I was too busy with school and with the activities my father got us in to for anything that really fits the stupid label. Unlike the talent show at the summer camp my daughter is TA'ing at, where 26 academically extremely gifted kids lined up with one toothbrush and one glass of water and one tube of Crest and, in turn, said "I like Crest - it keeps my teeth and my [each kid filled in their choice of item] clean", cleaned their teeth and whatever, and passed the equipment to the next kid... /Bevin

Moderators Bravus Posted July 9, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 9, 2005 I think the statute of limitations may have run out on this one by now... We broke into the school after Grade 12 graduation (I know, stupid in the extreme) and in the art room made a large, ahem, phallic sculpture from clay and left it there. That wasn't the best bit though: one of the teachers carried it all the way up to the principal's office through the school when it was discovered, much to the mirth of all the students. Ron Lambert
You're safe, now, Bravus--seven years is the statute of limitations on everything (except murder). I notice you say you are a teacher now. Is that ironic justice, or what?
