I think it's in Nova Scotia, right?

Seriously, Sydney is amazing (I'm from there, so I'm biased, but go and check it out and see if I'm lying!)

Truth is important

San Francisco is a beautiful city. No more should it be called a "Sin Freakcesspool" than any other city in the world. It is a city full of people whom God loves very much; a city full of His children.

Years ago when working in other parts of the SDA world I almost but not quite used to pray that we would not be transferred to Sydney....we ended up here at our own decision, and it is now where my life is.

So - when the great CA tourist group comes this way, let us know and we can meet up. As we live in a small apartment we cannot put you all up - but we would love to meet you and show you some of sights .

And Stan, we are still waiting to see you here

How Abba Father's heart of love must ache for those who reject Him. Each city is filled with His children... many of whom He will be forced to destroy because of the choices they have made, or failed to make.

I have friends whose calling is to pray for the lost... they have such a burden on their hearts for those who have not yet made a choice for Abba Father and True Jesus. One friend, does a prayer walk around her office building every day in Toronto.

As she walks around her building at noon, she prays for all those who have not chosen Abba Father who work in that building. On the second circuit around her building, she prays for all the homeless that shelter in it's doorways overnight, on her third circuit she prays for those who have not chosen Abba Father who work on the same block as her building, the fourth circuit encompasses the city, the fifth circuit the province, the sixth circuit the country, and her 7th circuit is specifically for the First Nations people, her family, and her government's leaders.

This is her witness, and walking out her life in the center of True Jesus will for her life.

I don't have that kind of burden. My talents lie elsewhere, but I am keenly aware of the needs in our cities. They are each filled with lost children of Abba Father. And He loves each and every one of them.

Yes, it's one of the 4 I haven't visited. Nan, I would love to have you show me the sights.

As most of you know, I really love every place which I have been fortunate enough to visit but I've been told that Sydney really is #1.

You would be welcome, Naomi. Sydney and Bangkok (and that 30+ years ago) are the only ones on the list I have visited, so I have a lot of catching up to do. But then that list does not include my favourite places - rather than cities - that include the South Island of New Zealand - and Tasmania. So I don't think I am aiming to tick off everything on it

I don't know, Stan.....

While these citys are good, can anything compare to a rippling brook? Or a lazy day at the beach? or a breath taking view of a lake in a crater? Or a walk in the park, feeding the ducks?

Or even watching the activity of ONE beehive? grin.gif

Neal;

You are right! Be happy where ever you are planted! However, I have a deep secret desire to visit Sydney. I would probably want to stay because I have heard so much about it. Falling.gif

The last couple of years my stepmom has had a hive. Watching the bees come and go is very relaxing. But what's more fun is watching the hummingbirds and bees chase each other away from the flowers.
