Danny J Goff
I came across this quote which impacted me strongly. . . . -PC- GCB -PT- The General Conference Bulletin -DT- 12-01-95 -AT- Seeking the Lost -PR- 22 -TEXT- Who can estimate the value of a soul? Go to Gethsemane, and there watch with Jesus through those long hours of anguish when he sweat as it were great drops of blood; look upon the Saviour uplifted on the cross; hear that despairing cry, "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Look upon that wounded head, the pierced side, the marred feet. Remember that Christ risked all; "tempted like as we are," he staked even his own eternal existence upon the issue of the conflict. Heaven itself was imperiled for our redemption. At the foot of the cross, remembering that for one sinner Jesus would have yielded up his life, we may estimate the value of a soul. It is amazing that God took this "risk" with His Son. . .I often times don't think about what was really happening when Christ came to this earth. . .it was a HUGE battle for our lives. . . .AND HIS. . . what if Christ had failed. . .it's unthinkable. . .but the possibility was there. . .His life and sacrifice was not just some legality or process that had to be taken care of. . it was a real. . .live. . .battle. . .that He could have lost. . . .warms my heart (makes it on FIRE) to realize that God loved us so much that He was willing to RISK His very Being, Heaven, the Universe???. . .W O W! What are your thoughts on this. . . Danny [:"blue"] [/] Quote It's impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious. . . Pockey
I can't comprehend it, but I look forward to eternity where we will understand it more.
Fran
Amen! Quote The greatest want of the world is the want of men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true & honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty..., men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.{Ed 57.3}
