Ok we have Dave Ramsey, Mary Hunt, Jerrold Mundis, John Cummuta, Crown Financial and of course Suze Orman. How many of these authors have you found helpful in terms of good money management?

What would points you recommend from these authors?

Which ones have worked for you?

I think Suze Orman's books have a great deal of good, solid advice. She has a TV show too which is good, IMHO.

I don't know the other authors you named.

The book "The Millionaire Next Door" by Stanley and Danko, has some good points but is repetetive. The main points in this book are: (1) Live beneath your income; and (2) Invest some of your income every month. I think this is great advice for anybody, any time -- not only for someone wanting to become rich.

My biggest financial help has been True Jesus. We apportion our finances to cover basic living expenses... but with all that is happening in our lives there's never enough.

But True Jesus always covers us... sometimes in the most amazing ways. I don't listen to money managers or advisors anymore.

In 1999 we were millionaires. For real millionaires. I was very, very good at what I did for a living. Since we'd never been millionaires before, we spent quite some time consulting financial advisors, accountants, and attorneys. We worked with Morgan Stanley AND Goldman Sachs. But since I wasn't walking with True Jesus at the time, and my husband didn't know HIM at all, we never talked to HIM about it.

By the assessment of the world, conventional wisdom, business sense, and economics, we did everything right. I mean everything. Setting up trusts, taking advantage of tax law, carefully diversifying our businesses, following excellent business practice and advice, we did it all.

Not one bit availed us anything when True Jesus took us at our word to do whatever it took to make us right with Him and ensure we were whole and complete as a family before Abba's Throne.

Instead, even though we did everything right, in less than three months we lost over $800K. In liquid assets (Stock options and stock). Then we lost our lumberyard another $500K including inventory and A/R, then we lost our freight hauling business including the Semi, another $100K, and then we lost the water-well drilling business. Finally, and lastly, we lost our ranch. Another $300K just in land and assets.

We were careful, we followed expert advice, we followed best practice everywhere we could in business, but we never consulted True Jesus.

We live very differently now. But we have all we need, and we are closer to True Jesus and Abba Father than ever before. My children all walk with Him in wondrous ways, my husband is ... awesomely in touch with the Holy Spirit.

He told me last night, very emphatically, but apologetically, that it has become very clear to him that we are to worship and love and follow True Jesus even more than he (my husband) loves me or the children. It's even more important than our marriage. And all that we have had, lost, have now, is irrelevant... it's just things. And we need to be ready to leave those things at a moment's notice.

Please know that my husband has never had a Bible study, doesn't go to church much because of his health, and the only Biblical education he's ever had has come from his own reading and the Holy Spirit. Yet, his theology in the foundational theology that gets you Home is flawless.

He's a little confused on some of the peripheral stuff, but on the basics of salvation, those things that if you get them wrong it's fatal, his understanding is flawless.

Thank You Jesus and Thank You Holy Spirit for teaching him. I love You so much Jesus, teach me how to love you more. You are my Beloved Bridegroom, and I can't wait for the Wedding Feast!

10 years ago I would have said debt was fine within limits.

Now, I believe you need to be paying for everything with cash.

It would also be wise to be praying very, very hard about where Abba Father wants you and your family positioned in the very last days of the last days, and then acting on your heart conviction and His leading.

There is going to be a financial crash in this country the likes of which is going to make the Great Depression look like the lap of luxury. Our economy is being kept afloat by smoke and mirrors right now. If you have a mortgage, you WILL lose your house.

If you have huge debt, you WILL find yourself in one of the concentration camps already prepared and waiting. Google American Prison Camps or concentration camps in America. I have seen the one at Eielson AFB.

Can you leave your "assets" behind? Can you answer affirmatively when True Jesus asks you, "Do you love Me more than these?"

Based on my understanding of the financial markets, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the meltdown start in January - April of 2006.

By May of 2008 it will be required to have a special id in order to do any business of any kind that involves the federal government. It has already been determined that by the deadline in May, it will be biometric. That means an Iris Scan or a finger print at a minimum. That has already been enacted into law. It was signed by the President in July 2005.

Let's talk about what that means.

Without this id, which you MUST have by May of 2008, you may not:

Have a bank account

Have a job (you have to pay taxes...)

Pay your taxes

Purchase anything (you have to pay sales tax)

Collect Social Security

Receive Medicaid or Medicare (Medicaid gets federal grant money)

Sell or Buy a House (You are already required to swear you agree with and uphold Patriot II... It's in all the new paperwork)

Take out a loan

It is currently illegal to hoard food. Did you know that purchasing more than two weeks worth of groceries is defined as hoarding food according to Patriot II?

Following True Jesus advice and praying that your flight not be in winter or on the Sabbath day is very important now. The clock is ticking and we have less than 7 years. Count on it.

Even so Lord Jesus Come! I can hardly wait to go HOME. <img src="/ubbtreads/images/graemlins/angel1.gif" alt="" />

I'm sure their leadership is looking in to it.

They have good lawyers too.

Two months ago, I was restocking our flour supply. We use a lot of it because we make our own bread, biscuits, cookies and the like. Sam's Club told me I couldn't purchase more than 50 lbs at a time because I'm not a business.

Kinda makes you think... Hmmmmm especially when Patriot II was signed into law the following month.

Well, I guess that makes me a terrorist...I have a bad habit of buying too much stuff when it's discounted, and if there was a national disaster we could probably live quite comfortably for a year armed with nothing more than a can opener...

Armed with a can-opener... LOL! Us too.. and I'm worse, whenever I see MRE's on sale, I always pick some up... they'll last for 40 years plus the come with a heater that to make it heat up all you have to do is add a little moisture.

It will produce enough heat to burn you if you're not careful for 8 hours or so.
