cricket
My favorite thing about Jesus is that He came down to this earth so that He'd be accessible to us in human form. He didn't expect us to find our way to Him--He came to us!
Clio
Ooooo! That's a good one. I hadn't thought of that. I think my favorite thing about Him is His delight in me. It's always personal and He always has my best interests at heart. The concept that He died just for me takes my breath away. Clio Quote A heart where He alone has first place. Administrators Gail Posted August 11, 2005 Administrators Share Posted August 11, 2005 What I like about Jesus is that he treats me not as I deserve but how I wish inside to be treated Far differently than how I so often treat others, with my limited information, ego and my insecurities Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Clio
Oh yeah! Patience... I can be sooo stubborn sometimes... and sometimes... I just can't seem to "get it". Patience is an awesome one. Clio
Isn't comforting that He listens? There have been times in my life, especially before I read in Psalms about us being a delight to Him, that I used to wonder, "How can He stand to listen to all this stuff?" I had such a poor idea of what a Bridegroom or a Husband was like I couldn't see how True Jesus could be one to me. And the I started reading in Isaiah... Wow. He's sooo cool and I can't wait to see my Beloved Bridegroom and sit at the Wedding Feast. <img src="/ubbtreads/images/graemlins/coolhello.gif" alt="" /> Clio Quote A heart where He alone has first place. Moderators Bravus Posted August 11, 2005 Moderators Share Posted August 11, 2005 Mine is that he was 'in all points tempted as we are'. By analogy, as a teacher educator I see it as part of my job to remember to return to the high school classroom and 'get my hands dirty'. If I'm going to tell teachers about teaching, I need to ground that in the reality of the day-to-day life of a teacher. In the same way, Jesus is in a position to tell us about living well because he laid aside his divinity, came down here and 'got his hands dirty' (with mud for healing eyes, not with sin). He walked the walk. He understands. Quote Truth is important

Amelia
What makes Jesus real to me is that He wasnt born handsome and wealthy. I can relate more to Him that way than if He had be described as extreemly good looking.
