Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
cricket
As a child, I never could get my shoelaces tied that way--my dad taught me to tie them with two initial loops instead of the one. Now, as an adult, of course, I use the one-loop method. I really thought this video would have been about tying our shoes using the upper eyelets on the "mouth" of the shoe. About a year ago, my father-in-law showed us that using these upper eyelets reduces the tension over the foot and keeps blood flowing to the foot as intended. http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1329255460?bctid=1332234594
Dottie
My dad taught me how to tie shoes with the laces going horizontal. Like the man says, it usually works better and looks better, too. But hubby, wow! He always does a "surgeon's knot" before he starts the bow. He says it keeps the lace tied longer. Maybe for him, but for sure not Sonny, whose laces won't stay tied unless they are in a double knot. He still can't tie his laces at age 10. So I have been getting him the velcro type, which look sloppy to me, but save arguments.
