Administrators Gail Posted August 30, 2005 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2005 Here is an interesting case out of our little town of Vanderhoof (way up north somewhere) This woman was the lover of a popular school principal, but she didn't realise that he had (I think) 3 lovers- and a wife He wouldn't leave the wife for her, and then she found out about the other lovers... One day she grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the groin. He bled to death When I read this headline, I thought, "Now we'll have jubilation running through the hearts of many a jilted lady today..." You can read it here: He paid the ultimate price... Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. darlene
Yes, she should be in jail. I don't know what the judge was thinking. But you must admit this guy was a real weirdo. Maybe didn't deserve to die but, he sure deserved something unpleasant!
Dr. Shane
Yes surgical castration would have been good enough Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Anthony!
Darlene: Quote: Yes, she should be in jail. I don't know what the judge was thinking. But you must admit this guy was a real weirdo. Maybe didn't deserve to die but, he sure deserved something unpleasant! Shane: Quote: Yes surgical castration would have been good enough Excuse me?! I feel like asking what you people are thinking to make such insensitive comments! A man is DEAD! Did you know that he was a blessing to his community and the children in his schools? Did you know that he was a catalyst for changes that turned these two schools around in every aspect of academic and social areas? Darlene, I am VERY surprised by your comments. Your mentioning that this man "was a real weirdo" who "maybe didn't deserve to die" and "sure deserved something unpleasant" only serves to marginalize his apparent worth as one for whom Christ died. Come on, Darlene, I have known you for years, and I also know that you are capable of better than this! Shane, I hope that the smiley face after your comment means that it is only tongue-in-cheek... If not, then how can you find anything funny in this situation? For shame! Both of you had very compassionate thoughts for me in the post regarding my nephew's death and I thank you for that. But, if I were to indulge my nephew's criminal history to you, would you then sing a different tune? Would you make comments that 'maybe' he deserved 'surgical castration' or death? Yet you have done so in this case. I am angry, saddened and confused that your comments do not show Christ's love here.
Barbara
I am sorry a man died. I find it interesting that people will just focus on one part of a person life and not look at the whole picture. Yes he was wrong to have affairs, but it was also wrong for the lover to kill him. She should be in jail and serve time for the murder. Think is was wrong to say that he deserved it or anything else mean and hurtful. Quote .....Love others as well as you love yourself. Dr. Shane
Yes my comment was tounge-in-cheek. Really I think tatuing a scarlet letter A on an adulter's forehead is all that is really needed. Dr. Shane
Brother Anthony, Your nephew was a drug addict, if I recall correctly. Now he made a bad decision by deciding to use drugs in the first place. I made the same decision myself once. However he, like myself, became addicted. Perhaps it is just me, but I hold addicts and alcoholics to a lower standard of morality than the average person. So I may joke around about some normal person's immorality in a way that I wouldn't joke around about an addict. However once we get into recovery, a lot of us alcoholics and addicts do joke around about the stupid things we did before. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... darlene
I have read quite a bit on this case and know this man was no angel. Yes, he was an elementary school principal and must have been quite good at it but, does this excuse his personal life? To have a wife, and to be having an affair with three women at once? I certainly do agree that this woman should be in jail. Committing an criminal act and calling it a crime of passion never justifies murder. And yes, Tony he was a worthy candidate for heaven, but aren't we all responsible for our own actions? Don't we also reap the results of those actions?
