Administrators Naomi Posted September 4, 2005 Administrators Share Posted September 4, 2005 Is anyplace on this old ball of mud safe to build one's home? Someone please help me if I have the story or facts incorrect. I am relatively certain this a is true and accurate account of one man's decision. Yet, there is a possibility that it is an Urban Legend. Some years ago (during the cold war) a scientist decided that he wanted to protect himself and his family. He conducted every possible study to determine the absolute safest place to live. Finally located an Island and moved all of his family. A few years later an extremely unusual and very deadly storm found him and took out everything and everybody. Now back to my original question, is there any safe place to live? <img src="/ubbtreads/images/graemlins/Nixe_nixe02b.gif" alt="" /> Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Moderators Bravus Posted September 4, 2005 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2005 Central Australia is probably pretty secure: away from oceans and storms, centre of a huge tectonic plate, no major fault lines. Getting water can be challenging... and of course, the site of the Wolf Creek meteor crater is there! So I'd have to say nope, no safe havens on this planet: except Jesus.
