Two or three weeks back I was doing some reading and happened upon the subject of how work with the Native Americans is sadly lacking. I forgot to note the chapter and verse, let alone the title. But I do have some info to share regarding a small bit of news.

There are two schools that work with these People and I wanted to bring it to the attention of those that may have a burden for these precious individuals.

LaVidaMission.org is in New Mexico

Holbrook is in AZ and their website is hissda.org

My wife's father was principal at the holbrook school there when she was a little girl. It was quite a number of years ago.

After they retired, my parents drove their little pick-up around the country. Each time, they made a point of stopping at both the Holbrook Indian School and LaVida Missions, and bring the children gifts, usually some toys or games or fabric the girls used for sewing projects, and sometimes some freeze-dried food. The teachers told my folks that ANYTHING that is given to the schools is so very much appreciated!!!

Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
