It suffered flooding near the lake and heavy wind damage as the eye of the storm passed over. There are photos showing where trees have fallen all around the Slidell church and sign, but neither was damaged significantly. []http://www.clubadventist.com/ubbtreads/attachments/188069-433-300x300.jpg[/] The church had saved for four years to put up this new sign which had only recently been installed. []http://www.clubadventist.com/ubbtreads/attachments/188069-435-300x300.jpg[/] Slidell homes in the path of the hurricane's eye wall were totally destroyed. Another item of good news: Early reports that the Slidell Glad Tidings church was destroyed were inaccurate. Apparently the damage there was relatively light.
