Johann
Excellent! How many of us have believed in one or more of these lies?

Johann
LIE #2. WOMEN CAN'T BE FULFILLED OR SPIRITUALLY EFFECTIVE WITHOUT A HUSBAND. From the time she was released from a German death camp in 1944 until her death in 1983, Corrie Ten Boom taught the world about a Savior who could forgive the cruelest Nazi. Yet she never married. Did the fact that she did not have a husband make her less "complete"? Some Christians would say yes. We have spent so much energy defending the concept of the biblical family that we are guilty of idolizing it. We've preached that a woman's primary responsibility is to find a godly husband, have lots of babies and stay home to raise them for Christ. LifeHiscost
For the sake of argument, let's say it's true that all those lies as stated are true lies,(wouldn't that be a double negative and wasn't there a movie by that name starring John Wayne?) without wiggle room out of them. That would indicate that just the opposite of those lies would be truth, in the highest sense of the word. Then wouldn't that mean this from the Word is not true (another double negative)? " Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”"Genesis 2:18 NLT Why would man need woman if she were to be just like him? I would suggest both have their individual and complimentary selves that couldn't be complimentary if each weren't willing to take the position for which they were made. And the rub comes in when sin enters the picture and we no longer see any good reason to accept the perfect will of God, His modified will only being necessary as a result of a new "god" in this world "And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you." Genesis 3:16 NLT "And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake."2 Cor 4:3-5 NASB The underlined above explains the unhappiness between men and women as a result of few, sometimes even among Christians, desiring to do what it takes to honor their Maker. God cares! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

The board could be known as a gay hangout place! We'd loose our standing among the Adventist community!!! Worst, our standing before God would be affected!!!! all because of one word..... joeb
The day SDA's go to a Charasmatic, who clearly doesn't understand the Bible, for "truth" is a sad day. What's the Bible say about the marriage relationship? Quote: Ephesians 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: Hmmm.... The husband is to nurture and cherish his wife as Christ nurtures and cherishes the church, and to love her as he loves himself. The Bible goes so far to say that a man who doesn't love his wife, he doesn't love himself. Funny how this charlatan didn't include this in his diatribe.
