march of 1983. In May I became engaged to be married. I was already a Christian though not a strong one at the time and I had never heard of SDA's. I began taking study with the assoc pastor at the church my now STBE husband belonged to and made the change to Sabbath keeping. I was given a copy of The Great Controversy and would read it on the bus to and from work. Soon I accepted Adventism and made a date for my baptism. One morning after getting off the bus along with all the other early morning workers, I rounded the corner and was steps away from the door to my building. I heard someone call my name and I scaned the people looking for a coworker. What I saw was my mother. My mother who had passed several months before. I heard my name again and the words "come with me". I turned away to the door and met the thing that looked like my mother again. Thats when I said, no, God is with me and you are nothing. Everything was clear after that and I never saw that apparition or whatever it was, again.
