..said that Adventists should be concerned with:

* Loss of identity

* Growing worldliness

* Danger of disunity

* Spiritual complacency and apathy

A very timely warning for believers preparing for the Time of the End.

Do you see any of these dangers in your own life?

These are great questions!

Loss of identity:

I don't really see that per say, what I am seeing is a kind of shaking away, and in this the church it self will not lose its identity.

Growing worldliness:

This I kinda see, but as far back as I can recall, that has been being said. So are we really seeing this or are we just seeing what we want to see?

Danger of disunity:

Same as loss of identity in my opinion.

Spiritual complacency and apathy:

I do see this more than the rest, but this does go on in our lives all the time. We go back and forth. As it says in Revelation, I believe, hold on to the end. At times it gets very hard.

My wife spoke to a friend in the other end of the country who told her of people sitting on the pews using their ipads or iphones texting their friends or playing games during the sermon. The last time we visited our former church, I was shocked at how the preacher's wife was dressed.

I know pastors who tell people to text them during the sermon and they will respond.

I've done that. I had the youth text me an answer to a question. I was a good way to get them engaged.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

We need to encourage whatever ways possible to be engaged.

May we be one so that the world may be won.
