The seven Catholic sacraments are Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Communion, Reconciliation, Holy Orders, Marriage and Anointing of the Sick. In the Catholic faith, Sacraments are a way to institute something that is sacred and has divine meaning into the lives of believers. Much of the Catholic faith is rooted in the Jewish faith so it is no surprise that there seems to be, in Deuteronomy 8:6-9, the Jewish roots of the seven Catholic sacraments.
