Sojourner
Greetings all, I would like to get a range of views on how Seventh Day Adventists personally view Seventh Day Baptists. Clearly Rachel Oakes Preston being a Seventh Day Baptist is cited as someone whose views on the Sabbath lead others in the fledgling Adventist church to adopt the same views and for the Sabbath to become Seventh Day Adventist theology also. Yet I do ponder why it could be that the Seventh Day Adventist Church then grew so rapidly whilst the Seventh Day Baptist church have remained a relatively small denomination? Have you ever attended meetings with Seventh Day Baptists? If not, would you as an Adventist fellowship with them if a suitable opportunity arose? Is this a denomination where people who have left the SDA gather, or is it the reverse that people leave the SDB for the SDA denomination? Just interested in your thoughts in general on Seventh Day Baptists, please share away!
