Stan
The Syria Gov't is secular, the rebels for the most part are not Syrians... The take down of the other Gov't is the so called Arab spring has been a disaster for Religious Liberty. Seems like people want a war, hot war cold war, just bring on another war. JoeMo
Neither. They both represent politics - part of the unholy trinity of politics, economics, and organized religion.. I always thought Putin was an atheist communist. He was; now he is a devout Russian Orthodox Christian who is completely against globalization and a one-world government. I too am a devout Christian against a one-world government. Can't say I agree with Putin's strategy, though...
Members rudywoofs (Pam)
I don't know enough about Syrian politics to render a worthy opinion on the question... Aliensanctuary
Seems like strong secular dictators are more likely to keep murderous militants in check. Saddam H. in Iraq, for example. With him and other dictators dead and gone, no one else has what's needed to keep fanatical Islamist killing machines from butchering their citizens. Mr. Bush invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, or was ordered to do so. Why can't Putin find lame excuses to invade other countries, also? He might be the one destined to send his armies southward, restoring the empire in a grand sweep of blood and tears. I think it's a mistake to support Islamist rebels anywhere on Earth. Why do men love so much death and destruction? Either it's programmed into them or they have little resistance to demonic forces driving them mad. I think if women were in charge of the world and men were not allowed in the armed forces, we might have a much more peaceful planet. Stan
Aliensanctuary.. even the Iragi courts said he was not a dictator, like the former President of Eqypt, who had 80& of the popular vote, they are given that title as part of the selling of a war. Even Fidel had to be voted in every four years or so, as does all the representatives for the Cuban Congress. Aliensanctuary
If Putin wants the USA gone, he could give nukes to ISIS or some other America-phobes so they could go up the Potomac River or up to Manhattan in rowboats and detonate the bombs. We would likely have either anarchy, dictator, or some type of military/militia rule after that. Aliensanctuary
I believe that more and more people are being infected by "demons", driving them over and beyond the edge of civilized behavior, getting them to disregard the rights, property, and lives of others not like them. Ultimately, the goal of infected humans is to kill other humans, the same goal of the demons. Putin, infected by murderous demons also, is no exception in his drive to conquer territory belonging to others. Someday much of the world will be infected with demonic madness, resulting war and death everywhere. LifeHiscost
Quote: We would likely have either anarchy, dictator, or some type of military/militia rule after that. I heard one guest on RT news point out, at least in principle, that we can look for a return to the dark ages. He didn't give an explanation to what that meant other than a return to historical precedents. http://medieval.stormthecastle.com/essay...ly-medieval.htm The Dark Ages were an extraordinarily difficult period in the story of humanity. It is estimated that 100 million people died at the hands of war, poverty, and plague. But during this time new ideas and ideals were born and much of the groundwork was laid for the world we know today. God is Love! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
