Can we be good enough?

Since the early days of Christianity, followers of Jesus have struggled to find a balance between working to obey God in order to receive their salvation or relaxing and accepting God’s gift of His grace. That dilemma seems to have divided early church leaders Paul and James. It was a major difference between the Vatican and Martin Luther – and resulted in the great split between Catholics and Protestants.

Placing ourself in God's hands, in prayer daily, for guidance, solace, strength, and forbearance is a good start. However asking for Him to meet our needs and then ignoring the needs we see all about us limits the promises we can depend on from Him.

37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. 38"Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure-- pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." ...Luke 6

God is Love! Jesus saves!

Lift Jesus up!!
