As reported by the news media:

It was 9:30 the morning of Tuesday November 11, 2014, as employees of a Metro Denver area Marshall's Store reported to work they heard the faint cries of a person calling for help.  But, search as they would they could not locate anyone.  The cries seemed to be coming from the other side of one of the store's outside walls.  They called the police who found the same situation.  However, on searching the outside, the calls seemed to be coming from the inside.

At that point, they brought in a K-12 saw and began to cut out a portion of the outside brick wall.  After they successfully removed a section of the outside wall, 35 year-old Paul  Felyk was removed.  He is now hospitalized due to injuries to the lower part of his body.

It is believed that Mr. Felyk was on the roof of the building and somehow fell some 20 vertical feet in a space between the inside and outside walls of the building.  Burglary, trespassing and other charges are being investigated, as well as recent incidents with other nearby businesses.

There is evidence that Mr. Felyk had been confined between the walls since sometime Saturday.

And now for story # 2:   [Which involved another person  and another building in the Denver Metro Area.]

Yesterday evening, near closing time, employees in a Metro Area restaurant observed that there seemed to be a person above their ceiling.  Firepersons and police were notified and also observed a male, who upon seeing them disappeared and could not be located.  Shortly thereafter thy heard the sounds of human moaning coming from behind the wall of the restaurant.  Further inspection reveal human feet within the wall.  At that time a portion of the wall was removed and a near-naked male was removed from the wall and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Inspection   indicates that the man was living above the celling of the restaurant and frequently consumed alcoholic beverages.

It is of interest that in the process of falling into the interior of the wall, he set off the fire sprinkler system.  As a result, the restaurant and the lobby of a hotel on the other side of the wall have been flooded and flood damage teams have been involved for the past several hours in damage control in both places.

News reports state that the man, when he recovers, may be charged with offenses.
