Ordination and Pastors, not actually needed.

One of the problems today is that everyone seems to think that the only way you can serve God is to be a Pastor. Yet that term is mentioned all of around twice in the New Testament.

There are many other position in the church other than a Pastor - Evangelist, Teacher, Prophet, Elder, Deacon and so forth. To try and pigeon hole everyone into being an Ordained Pastor in order to serve is moving heavilly away from the Biblical Model and should be rejected.

Pastors have a role, - to look after people, yet a Pastor may well not be a Teacher or an Evangelist for example and should not be expected nor made to operate as such in ministry.

With all this attention on whether or not Ellen White was an ordained minister, was the same attention ever given to Phillip and his Four Prophetess Daughters in Acts 21 8-10 to see if they were actually ordained into the role?

Ellen White prophesied accuratley on a number of occassions and gave people the message that God had given to her as God required of her. Why does it have to become more complicated than that?

And in neither case is the use of "pastor" equivalent to "full time member of the professional clergy".

God never said "Thou shalt not think".
