Administrators Gail Posted February 22, 2015 Administrators Share Posted February 22, 2015 Don't you think that behaviour is a good indicator of the true state of one's beliefs? Moderators Bravus Posted February 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2015 Yes. One definition of 'belief' is 'disposition to act'. What we *really* believe comes out in what we do. It's so very common that people espouse beliefs with their mouths that their actions don't support, though, that the image in the OP is a valuable reminder. JoeMo
The reverse is also true. Many people shape their beliefs around how they behave in order to justify their behavior.
