Stan
Watching the subject of praying in public schools over the years has caused me to wonder if they had any positive affect on the students, the teachers, or society. I believe most religious liberty gurus seem against them as they were offensive to a few people. Thoughts? Administrators Gail Posted April 18, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2015 If the school is public isn't this an issue of the separation of church and state? I remember prayer in the classroom when I was in Grade One. I came from a secular home and I think that this exercise did instill a sense of respect for the spiritual in me. That is where I learned the Lord's Prayer, for our morning prayer was a recitation of it. My memory is a bit fuzzy but I seem to remember a Bible reading as well. So in answer to your question I would say a likely Yes. Stan 1 Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
