Markb
My Aunt Jo Ann is having major surgery tomorrow morning at Arrowhead Regional Hospital in Colton, CA. Please, please, prayer for her and remember her in your prayers. Several months ago she was driving out to visit my mother when her car tire blew out on the 10 Freeway by Palm Springs rolling her car and breaking both her back and her neck. She's been wearing a halo with metal pins for several months now. Tomorrow, the surgery will involve going through her sternum and fusing many of her vertebrae and inserting metal rods onto her spine and also in the front of her throat. She might also lose her vocal cords. She is suffering so much and she's a wonderful soul. Her name is Jo Ann Duffy. She is not SDA, but she is a Christian. Thank you so much brothers and sisters. Markb
Dear Brother and Sisters, I wanted to share with you an update to my aunt's surgery that she had yesterday. The operation was long, over 7 hours. However, the good news, praise God, is that it was a success so far. The surgery involved going through the sternum to reach her spine, as well as another surgery going through her back, inserting metal rods and cadaver bones along her back as well as a metal rod around the front of her neck. Today my aunt is sitting up, breathing on her own, and actually had something to eat. Nobody expected this whatsoever, not even the doctors. More good news. My aunt will no longer have to wear the halo she had worn for several months that had metal pins screwed right into her head. Instead she has a special neck brace. She should be going home within a few days. Thank you "so" much for your prayers. Praise God for His intervention and mercies and love. Mark Quote Need a domain name? Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted December 20, 2005 Moderators Share Posted December 20, 2005 Those were very skillful surgeons. Thankfully they were available at the right time and place for your aunt. May God continue to bless her. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
